MPEG 2. On the right hand...thumb, index, middle, ring, pinky 3. Left hand plays the strings on the fret board. Right hand strums and finger picks strings over the sound hole. 4. Right hand finger picking fingerings are: Thumb, Index, Middle, Ring. 5. Practice placing your left hand thumb under the neck with your fingers extending over the top of the fret board. 6. Practice putting your left hand finger 1 on the first fret of the low E string. 7. Practice putting your left hand finger 2 on the 2nd fret of the low E string, and your 3rd finger on the 3rd fret, your 4th finger on the 4th fret. 8. Repeat this on all 6 strings of the guitar. Go up - 1 through 4, and down 4 through 1. 9. Practice for 20 minutes each day. 7. Log your practice time into your practice log. |
